Way back in the early 80’s I lived in Brooklyn, New York. I loved living there, such an exciting time in my very young life! While living there, I discovered an “Egg Cream”, no such thing in Ohio. “What is it?” I asked, “Try it! You might like it! And by the way, there’s no egg in it!” So I did, and he was right!

New York Egg Cream

  • Chocolate Sauce
  • Non-dairy Milk
  • Sparkling Water – Plain

In a tall glass, layer as following, Chocolate Sauce, I measure by inches in glass, maybe 1/4 inch or 2 tablespoons, Then add “milk” about a cup, then fill rest up with Sparkling Water, stir and there you have it, one yummy drink and a bit of Brooklyn.
